Meena Mangalvedhekar
Highly engaged with the Twin Cities community, I practice project management as a toolbox to connect the community with place. I also serve on non-profit boards where I contribute with project planning, strategic planning, community development, web development and business innovation.
As a project manager I have recently worked with Macalester College, The Alley Newspaper of Minneapolis, College of Design at University of Minnesota, Cit of Minneapolis Office of Arts Culture and Creative Economy, and Hennepin Theatre Trust where I attended deepSEE workshops.
I graduated from University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in experimental media and interactivity. Although my own public art practice has produced mostly semi-permanent works, my works can be found at Walker Art Center’s mini golf and Odin Minneapolis. In a collective social practice, I regularly teach free classes to BIPOC women and youth.
Being a decade old immigrant from India, I’m still not a fan of Minnesota winters but I can’t think of a better place to call my new home. I love swimming in the lakes and running meetings on floaties. That’s my secret recipe for innovation.
